Talks to inspire and elevate

In January 2016, due to a growing industry demand, we expanded our concept to include SC/Talks – a platform where we bring together international creatives from different areas of the music industry to cultivate new relationships and to bring the writing world closer together through workshops and panel discussions.

Previous years include flipping the focus series with Little Jinder and SHY Martin and SHY Nodi and The Hush of Gender which brought together the swedish educational organisation Vem Kan Blir Producent?, Grammy winning engineer and producer Ebonie Smith and UK based producer and artist Raphaella with journalist Jan Gradvall to discuss the difficulties of being a female producer.

** UPDATES **

We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow for our exciting day of insights and inspiration!

So the last few days have thrown a few curve balls our way and we have some updates for you about the tomorrow:

Due to visa issues Angell Mutoni, Thandiswa and DJ Rachael will not longer be participating in the Scatterlings of Africa talks - but fear not we still have the amazing Ukweli and Jinku from EA Wave collective.

And in some other bad news we have had to cancel the interview with Monica Vélez due to a stolen passport.

But don’t worry we give this bad news with some good news - we will still post a video interview that we will do with Monica on our Youtube site next week so go check it out!

And in other good news -we replace this talk with Flipping the Focus: MADFUN. After cuts with Kygo and Ellie Goulding these girls have been billed as the ones to watch! We're really looking forward to talking to them!

The line up has now also been updated with timings so go take a look and we will see you tomorrow!

The SC Team!
